Anime Legacy Simulator Accessory Evolution: How to Evolve Duplicate Accessories
Combine two copies of the same accessory at the same rarity in the EVO section to raise it one tier, from Common all the way to a Secret-tier accessory.
To evolve an accessory you already own in Anime Legacy Simulator, open the on-screen EVO section and press the green Evolve button added in update 0.5. Select two copies of the same accessory at the same rarity, and the game combines them into a single copy of that accessory at the next rarity tier. The outcome is fixed — one tier up — not a random gamble, and you can keep pairing matching copies to climb the ladder from Common all the way to Secret.
Which duplicates qualify
Evolution runs on duplicates you own, and two conditions must hold at once:
- Same accessory. The copies must be the exact same item — two Luffy hats, for example, not a hat plus an unrelated piece.
- Same rarity. Both copies must sit on the same rarity tier.
Accessories cannot evolve without duplicate items, so a single copy stays as it is no matter how good it is. Selection matters too: in one recorded session, a player tried to evolve using non-matching items and nothing happened. His two identical common Luffy hats only combined once he picked the matching pair — and the result immediately turned green, the uncommon tier.
| You want to evolve | You select | You get |
|---|---|---|
| A Common accessory | Two copies of that same accessory, both Common | One copy at the next rarity tier |
| That upgraded copy again | Two copies of the accessory at the new matching tier | One copy one tier higher |
| The end of the chain | Matching pairs, step by step | A Secret-tier accessory |
What the Evolve button does
Every evolve combines the pair and moves the accessory up exactly one tier. The ladder runs from Common up to Secret, and the wiki's FAQ reports player testing confirming that Secret-tier accessories can be crafted through the evolve interface.
Since accessories dropped at Common rarity with a gray border around update 0.5 — one creator's gameplay report, who added as his own impression that direct higher-rarity drops were "likely gone" — the practical route is to farm common copies and chain evolutions rather than hunt rare drops. A game overview describes the system the same way: fusion evolves accessories without needing to chase rare items.
Don't delete your duplicates while farming, either. That same creator says many players trash spare accessories because they fear the EVO button gambles them into something else — in his description, it simply combines the accessories and moves them toward the next level, and the recorded two-hat evolve produced exactly the next tier.
Which accessories are worth evolving
Because every tier costs matching duplicates, it pays to pick your targets first. The wiki notes that the most effective accessories prioritize Fighter Damage and Overall Damage rather than solo player attack stats. One creator's update-time shortlist was the box, Ace's hat, Luffy's waist cloth, Gojo's blindfold and Toji's worm — mainly taking three of them to Secret while only partially upgrading the hard-to-farm pieces, since the Toji worm requires active raid participation and can't be AFK farmed. These are player recommendations, not game-enforced rules.
The payoff is visible on the items themselves: that creator's Ace accessory read 30% fighter damage, while the epic Ace accessory he showed on screen read 55% — a +25% gain between the two copies, though the rarity of the lower one wasn't shown.
