Anime Legacy Simulator Best Fighters: Strongest Squad Within Your Equip Slots

Which fighters are worth equipping in Anime Legacy Simulator, what makes a fighter worth a slot, and how to build the strongest squad your equip slots allow.

The strongest squad you can field in Anime Legacy Simulator is your highest-base-damage fighters — Secret and Exclusive units first, then Mythicals and Legendaries — each leveled to the Level 35 cap. Equipped fighters battle alongside your avatar, and their stats provide the vast majority of your overall damage, so the practical job is simple: fill every equip slot with the best base damage you own, then upgrade each slot as better rolls arrive.

The strongest fighters at a glance

Reference stats for the launch roster, with Level 1 base damage and SPA (Seconds Per Attack — a lower number means faster hits):

The source table lists no attack speed for Yuta or Gojo. Update 1 later added the Secret unit Meliodas at 244 base damage (about 366 as Shiny) alongside the fourth world, which unlocks after the JJK stage quests — and its Seven Deadly Sins banner units ranged from roughly 120 to 366 base damage. Rarity really buys you scaling: Secret Gojo grows from 210 base damage at Level 1 to roughly 90,000 at the Level 35 cap in the launch build, and Exclusive Freiren reaches about 89,000 near the cap.

How to judge a fighter you roll

  • Rarity sets the ceiling. Base damage varies sharply by rarity, and higher-rarity units gain far more damage per level than early commons.
  • Shiny beats normal, at every level. Shiny variants start with roughly 50% more Level 1 base damage (regular Yuta 105 vs Shiny Yuta 157), spawn with higher baseline multipliers, and keep higher scaling through every level; both versions max out at Level 35. The Anime Legacy Simulator shiny fighters guide has the details.
  • A Shiny can outrank the rarity above it. Experienced players' working guideline is that a Shiny of one rarity generally outperforms a normal unit of the next rarity (Epic Shiny over a normal Legendary, Legendary Shiny over a normal Mythic). This is player observation rather than a published stat rule, and one of the creators notes he couldn't confirm whether it extends to Secret units. The same players recommend leveling Mythicals over Legendaries because attack speed differs by rarity, while Epics are quick to level early on.
  • Weather mutations are a small bonus. Fighters can roll with weather effects while the matching weather is active — hot-weather rolls make attacks cause burn and poison weather adds poison — making those units a little stronger than unmutated copies. It's chance-based at roll time.

Equip slots: 3 by default, up to 6

You can equip 3 fighters by default. The Extra Equip gamepass adds 2 more (5 total), and beating Dungeon Round 50 grants one additional permanent slot — the two stack, so a fully expanded account runs six fighters. Since fighters carry most of your damage, every slot you fill with a well-leveled unit is a direct damage gain. The dungeons guide and the gamepass tier list cover both unlocks.

Building the strongest squad

Early on, equip whatever you roll

Creators who played through the early worlds recommend playing with whatever fighters you roll, leveling them to 35 so they carry the account, and filling every team slot with Legendary units before chasing better ones. Replace members as Shiny or higher-value fighters arrive — a rare pull such as a 0.05%-rate roll goes straight into the team over a weaker member like Lufe. The summoning guide covers rolling for new fighters.

When resources run short, focus one carry

Levels scale hard at the top end: one player's Level 31 Uta sat at 52,000 damage while teammates idled around 15,000, and a single level near that range added about 10,000 damage. When you can't upgrade the whole team, push one unit toward the cap first — the fighter leveling guide covers the process.

Match the lineup to the activity

Keep distinct equipped lineups for different jobs: players run a money-farming team carrying Yen multipliers and a separate damage team without them, switching the equipped squad to match whatever they're about to do.

Push damage at the endgame

In one endgame example, a damage team totaled about 2.5 million damage, with individual fighters contributing anywhere from roughly 23,000 to 310,000 — Gojo among them at 170,000 — and the fighters made up about half that player's total damage. Those per-unit figures already include the player's own buffs. The two levers named for pushing higher: max every fighter to Level 35, and roll rainbow damage-plus buffs. Top-tier targets to hunt are covered in the secret fighters guide.

VIP and shop exclusive fighters

Two paid routes put top-base fighters in your slots. The fighter that comes with the V.I.P gamepass permanently mimics the base damage of your account's strongest fighter — 210 alongside the launch Secrets at Level 1 — and requires fewer EXP resources to level than standard endgame summons, so it stays current as your roster improves.

The shop also sells exclusive fighters as paid packs (Frieren appears as a shop exclusive, alongside a Lufe pack). One bundle fighter was reported by its buyer to match your best troop — both at 125 base, ahead of regular Mythical Yuta's 105 but behind Shiny Yuta's 157 — though that mirror behavior is the creator's impression, not a documented rule. Leveling is what turns these units into carries: in one early test, a leveled exclusive reached about 89,000 damage at Level 35 while a Level 15 Zouro did 600. Different levels, so read that as a showcase of what leveling does rather than a head-to-head rarity comparison.

Where the Blazing trait goes

Blazing tops the combat trait list with a 0.05% roll rate, granting a +250% damage multiplier and 20% bonus attack speed — rolling it triggers an on-screen rainbow cutscene. Player testing puts it on the VIP Exclusive Fighter or a top-tier Secret like Gojo, because that mirrored 210-plus base damage keeps the slot's output top-tier even after future updates add new units. The passive reroll guide covers chasing traits like it.

Bottom line: judge every roll by base damage, rarity and Shiny status, keep your slots filled, and concentrate levels on your best unit first. The beginner guide covers the rest of early progression.
