Anime Legacy Simulator Trials: How to Start, Schedule & Rewards

Trials in Anime Legacy Simulator open at :15 and :45 past the hour, and only Easy is enterable. Here is how to start a run, how far to push, and what each run drops.

Trials are Anime Legacy Simulator's timed wave mode and one of the best sources of trait shards, upgrade tokens, and reroll currency. You start a run from the Trials side of the lobby, the mode only opens at the :15 and :45 marks, and only the Easy entrance has been enterable so far. Here is how to get in, what a run plays like, and what it drops.

How to start a Trial

  1. Head to the lobby Trials area. Trials are entered from the dedicated Trials side of the lobby, next to the Dungeon area and the Adventure Upgrade station. Guides refer to this farming spot as the Trial tower.
  2. Wait for the mode to open. The Trial appears at the :15 and :45 marks, while the Dungeon mode opens at :00 and :30 — the two alternate roughly every 30 minutes. Wait at the Trial area and walk in when it opens.
  3. Enable your Drop boost before entering. The Drop boost potion helps you get more resources from runs like Trials, and it has to be turned on before you walk in.

Which difficulty is open

The lobby Trials area carries Easy, Medium, and Hard labels, but only the Easy entrance has been seen enterable in the game. Treat Easy as the tier you can actually farm, and treat the Medium and Hard signs as labels until their entrances open up.

What a run plays like

The Easy Trial is a straight-line wave mode: monsters stand around a straight path and waves unlock one after another, with one run seen so far reaching wave 50. Enemy health scales quickly, though. On a fresh account, the wave-5 enemies already had a lot of health — a low-power team stalls early, while a strong character clears waves easily. How far you get is mostly a question of your team's damage.

You do not need to reach the end to profit. The exit button works at any point, and you return to the map keeping everything that already dropped. Community testing points to stopping around wave 20 for time efficiency, before enemy health pools become restrictive — with active drop buffs running, a wave-20 run yields roughly 300 to 400 items (a community-tested figure, not an official rate).

What a Trial run rewards

Drops accrue as you fight through the waves. Players run Trials to earn resources for gacha pulls in each world and to upgrade their stats and damage, and a run's drops can include any of the following:

RewardWhat it does
Trait shardsClearing Trial waves is a primary source of trait shards, which are used to roll passives on individual fighters — fragments dropped wave after wave in an Easy run. See the passive reroll guide.
Adventure Upgrade tokensSpent at the Adventure Upgrade station in the lobby to upgrade stats such as attack range. Details in the adventure upgrades guide.
Reroll dropsThe reroll currency is mostly obtainable from Trials and dungeons.
Weapon gourd reroll tokensReroll tokens for the breathing-style gourd drop heavily in the Trial and the dungeon, and a gourd's first rolls cost 10 tokens. More in the weapons guide.
AccessoriesThe elf-like figures and the Nezuko box have been seen dropping in both Trials and dungeons — the two modes share an item pool even though they play differently.
Trial damage artifactAn artifact obtained by doing Trials that buffs damage, maxing out at level 10 with 10% per level. It is upgraded with the Adventure Token (the dungeon's demon artifact uses the same token).
Talent TokensThe Talent screen lists the Trial as a source of roughly 10 to 20 pieces per run, about the same amount as the Dungeon listing. More in the talents guide.
Adventure ChartAn extra drop whose tooltip says it is used in the Adventure Shop.

How much one hour of Trials is worth

The intended rhythm pairs Trials with the Dungeon. Two Trial runs and two Dungeon runs per hour, all with drop buffs active, add up to roughly 2,800 to 3,000 reroll drops per hour, with the Trial runs contributing about 800 of that total. These are community figures that assume you are stacking drop sources — drop stat, traits, stat points, and weather boosts. For the other half of the cycle, see the dungeon guide.

Unlock auto zone and auto leave

The Trial mode supports auto zone and auto leave, but not auto replay. Both automation settings unlock by completing the mode's specific quest: playing the Easy Trial 10 times. After that, the mode can clear zones and leave a run on its own — you just handle re-entering at the next :15 or :45 opening.

If you are just starting out, the beginner guide shows where your first Trial runs fit into the opening hours of progression.
