Anime Legacy Simulator Shiny Fighters: How to Recognize Them and Get One from Star Rolls

Shiny fighters in Anime Legacy Simulator look different and roll out of the Star banners. Learn the visual and stat tells, the Star-roll route, and the boosts that improve shiny odds.

Shiny fighters in Anime Legacy Simulator are alternate versions of regular fighters. They look different, start with roughly 50% more Level 1 base damage, and come out of the same Star rolls you already use to collect fighters. Here is how to recognize one, get one from the Star rolls, and make sure it stays yours once it lands.

How to recognize a Shiny fighter

Two tells give a Shiny away:

  • The model looks different. A Shiny is the same character with a distinct look. Confirmed Shiny versions include Muzan, Shanks, Gojo, Rengoku, Yuta, Luffy, Tanjiro, Zoro, Zenitsu, Shinobu and Robin, and the difference can be dramatic — the Shiny Shanks has both arms, while the normal Shanks is missing one. One player even remarks that every character seems to have a Shiny version.
  • The stats are higher. Shiny versions have higher base stats than their standard counterparts: about 50% more Level 1 base damage. A regular Yuta (Mythical) starts at 105 base damage, while a Shiny Yuta starts at 157.

A Shiny can stand out the moment it lands, but the difference isn't always obvious at a glance — when a pull looks a little off, compare its Level 1 base damage against the normal version to be sure.

How to get a Shiny from the Star rolls

Every map shown has a Star you can spin for fighters, and Shinies come out of those same spins — any fighter pull there can land as a Shiny. Each spin is random, so treat a Shiny as a grind rather than a guaranteed drop:

  1. Head to the Star on the map whose fighter pool you want.
  2. Spin manually or set auto-spin so the rolls keep going while you fight.
  3. Check your pull settings before long sessions so a Shiny is never sold or dismantled by mistake (see below).
  4. Level your Shiny like any other fighter once it lands.

For a deeper look at banners and spins, see the Anime Legacy Simulator summoning guide.

Four ways to improve your Shiny odds

Nothing guarantees a Shiny, but the game has several boosts aimed directly at shiny rolls:

MethodWhat it does
Shiny Hunter gamepass (599 Robux)Increases hatch rates for pulling shiny Mythical and Secret fighters. One creator's estimate puts it at about a 5% higher chance to roll a Shiny unit — not an official number.
Shiny potionsSold in the lobby Adventure shop alongside the mythic and secret potions; they help you get Shiny characters.
Shiny Chance commandmentOne of the game's 10 commandments; this one targets fighters and enhances the likelihood of rolling shiny unit variants.
Luck 3 "Hatch Team"Roll Luck 3 onto spare Mythical or Shiny units to build a second team, then swap it in before rolling Stars — a budget alternative to full Leprechaun setups that dramatically improves Secret and Shiny odds.

The commandments system is covered in the Anime Legacy Simulator commandments guide, and the Anime Legacy Simulator how to reroll passives guide walks through rolling traits like Luck 3.

Don't let a Shiny get sold by accident

The Star roll result screen gives you Open, Announce, Lock and Auto-sell buttons — and Shiny units can be sold too. Auto-sell can be set from Rare and up, and the pull settings also include Auto-Lock and an auto-deconstruct option that turns duplicate pulls into food. Before a long auto-spin session, check those settings and lock your Shiny pulls so a Shiny doesn't quietly turn into coins or food while you grind.

Are Shiny fighters worth the grind?

Yes. A Shiny keeps its stat edge at every level on the way to the level cap: both versions of Yuta reach maximum power at the cap, but the Shiny holds its 157-vs-105 head start and scales higher the whole way. A community rule of thumb goes further — a Shiny of the previous rarity beats the regular unit of the next rarity (an Epic Shiny over a regular Legendary, a Legendary Shiny over a regular Mythic) — though this has not been checked for Secret units. Players also note that a Shiny Yuta is already better than the exclusive pack unit.

If you are early in the game, don't stall for a Shiny: run with whatever strong pull you land first — it will carry your account — and hunt for a Shiny later. Once one lands, the Anime Legacy Simulator best fighters guide can help you decide where it fits.
