Anime Legacy Simulator weapons: every documented sword, where it comes from and which to chase

Every sword documented in Anime Legacy Simulator so far — four secret-quest blades, map drops, devil fruits, bundles — and which one is worth pursuing first.

Each of the game's first four worlds hides a secret quest, and each pays out its own named sword: Yoru on Heaven Island, Gyomei's Nichirin axe in Slayer Village, Yuta's sword in Jujutsu Academy and Gideon in the Update 1 world. Everything below is the sword roster documented through that Update 1 (Map 4) world — later updates may add more.

If you want a single target: pick up Yuta's sword first — it attacks fast and hits for roughly 1,608–1,700 base damage — then chase Gideon, described after the Update 1 world as "by far the best sword in the game right now."

You start with none of this. A new character's inventory shows nothing but fists, next to dedicated equipment slots for a weapon and accessories — the weapon slot stays empty until you earn your first blade.

Where swords come from

Weapon tier maps to its source:

  • Entry-level weapons drop from the basic enemies on early stages.
  • Rare-tier weapons drop from normal monsters around the map — not great, but definitely usable while you're starting out.
  • Epic-tier weapons require quests, and the quest swords documented so far all come from the four secret quests — one in each of the first four worlds.

Beyond quests, Heaven Island's Gomu Gomu and Magu fruits count as weapons, one named boss drop — Mihawk's Bisento — is documented, and paid bundles include exclusive weapons — more on those below.

The four secret-quest swords

All four documented secret quests work the same way: find the hidden quest NPC, accept the quest, then defeat that world's secret boss. One rule matters most: accept the NPC quest before you land the killing blow. You can fight any secret boss at any time for its regular loot (cash, tokens, accessories), but the sword and mount rewards unlock only if the matching NPC quest was accepted before the kill.

Open the quest menu from the flag at the bottom left of the screen, and watch for in-game signs — they point to where a secret quest NPC is hiding. At landmark level, the four givers are:

  • Shanks — behind the beanstalk past the pyramid sign on Heaven Island
  • Muzan — in the corner of the alleyway behind the house with the wooden sign, Slayer Village
  • Gojo — in a nook to the left after walking straight into the JJK world
  • Ban — on the beach behind the Update 1 world's spawn (watch for the glitched invisible walls nearby)

Full step-by-step routes live in our secret quests guide, and exact boss spots in the secret boss locations page.

SwordQuest NPC / worldBoss to defeat (HP)Notes
YoruShanks, Heaven Island (Map 1)Enel (3M)Has an active ability; reward includes the Karoo mount
Gyomei's NichirinMuzan, Slayer Village (Map 2)Kokushibo (125M)Slow swings, hard hits; also the Kitty mount
Yuta's swordGojo, Jujutsu Academy (Map 3)Sukuna (700M)Fast attacks; roughly 1,608–1,700 base damage; dog mount
GideonBan, Update 1 world (Map 4)Chaos Arthur (1.5T)Strong base stats, very powerful skills, slow attack; exclusive mount

The HP column is your difficulty gauge: Enel's 3 million is the lowest bar, one fresh account grinding Kokushibo found its 125 million "going to take forever," Sukuna's 700 million "is not for just anyone," as one player put it, and Chaos Arthur's 1.5 trillion towers over the rest. Each of these quests also pays a mount alongside the sword — the full list lives in our mounts guide.

Which sword is worth pursuing?

Chase Yuta's sword first. It's the recommended early pickup among the quest swords: creators call it "very good," its fast attacks make it easy to use, and it hits for roughly 1,608–1,700 base damage.

Then pick a side between Yuta and Gyomei. The two mid-game quest swords trade speed for power: Yuta's katana strikes quickly, while Gyomei's weapon swings slowly but hits harder. Enchants can balance them — roll attack-speed buffs onto Gyomei's weapon, or stack pure damage on Yuta's, and build the item the way you like to play.

Gideon is the endgame goal. Ban's reward in the Update 1 world is described as "by far the best sword in the game right now" and "on another level" next to Yuta's katana — quite strong base stats and very powerful skills, at the cost of a slow attack.

Yoru is the collector's piece. Hands-on testing shows the Heaven Island reward does have an active ability, but one reviewer rates the One Piece-map sword a starter item, grabbed "more for the index" than for actual use.

Other weapons while you grind

  • Devil fruits (Heaven Island): the Gomu Gomu and Magu fruits act as weapons. Two spawn randomly around the map, announced in yellow text in the top-left feed. In one hands-on test, Gomu Gomu had a Z skill while Magu dealt 40 damage with no ability. Neither is a long-term pick — one creator suggests the Gomu fruit as an early-game stopgap ("just wait for it to spawn randomly") until quest swords like Yoru reach your inventory.
  • Bisento: a Map 1 boss drop from Mihawk — one playthrough against the 150,000-HP version of the fight logged 40 damage and no ability.
  • Bundle exclusives: paid packs include weapons. The Frieren pack contains Frieren's weapon with its own Z-skill effect, which gave one player's character an ultimate attack, and the freerunning bundle's weapon fires a big fireball — about 180 damage at level 1 in pre-release footage, versus fists doing 15 at level 5.

Making the sword you have count

Level it by using it. Weapons gain EXP while equipped: defeat monsters around the map with the blade you want to raise, and the more it's used, the more it levels. One creator's standout Yuta sword damage came from a maxed level plus Mythic and Secret enchant buffs.

Enchant at the gourd. Slayer Village (Map 2) hosts the Gourd Station: blow into the gourd and it rolls Breathing Styles (Beast Breathing, Sun Breathing and more) onto your equipped blade. Initial rolls cost 10 tokens, swords hold multiple passive slots (up to two or three depending on your unlock progression), and unlike a fighter's single trait slot, a sword can hold several Breathing passives at once. Rolls add real stats — weapon breathings give +5% to +15% drop bonuses, and one player's katana carried +5% attack speed, +3% drop and +5% damage together. Roll tokens drop heavily from Trials and the dungeon.

You can check a weapon's buff count in the bag's weapons tab. To chase three buffs on one blade: roll until two buffs land, lock one, and keep rolling until two buffs appear again (red arrows mark the moment). Once three exist, lock two slots and improve them one by one — unlocked rolls can wipe the others, and every lock raises the gourd's token cost. Results depend on luck.

Keep the investment proportional. A sword is a real but secondary power source: one free-to-play player's total dropped from about 225k to 194k with the sword deactivated — "not that much, but still a lot," and enough to make the sword worth some focus. A sensible pace is to cap enchant effort around Legendary-tier buffs (all drop-rate or all damage), treat Mythic and Secret rolls as optional, and save resources in case stronger weapon tiers arrive in future updates.
