Anime Legacy Simulator Currencies: What Each Pays For and Where to Earn It

What every Anime Legacy Simulator currency and material pays for, and where to earn and spend it — Yen, gems, food, trait shards, and every upgrade token.

Anime Legacy Simulator runs on two headline currencies — Yen and gems — plus a shelf of materials that pay for almost everything else: food for leveling fighters, trait shards for passives, and a set of tokens for weapon rolls, artifacts, talents, and account upgrades. Here is what each one buys and where to earn it.

Yen: summons and guild funding

Yen is the currency you will burn fastest, because star summons are paid for with it. Banner prices vary widely: the Update 1 Seven Deadly Sins banner cost 40 million per pull, and players have run into banners charging 2 million per spin and 75,000 per open. Yen also funds guilds — donated Yen buys collective stat upgrades for the whole group, and top guild upgrades and roster expansions cost trillions. The Anime Legacy Simulator summoning guide covers how to put those pulls to work.

Earning Yen is mostly about killing the right things. Mobs, elites, and bosses all award Yen directly: elites are worth around 100,000 per kill, one creator recorded roughly 3.14 billion Yen from a single late-game kill — paid the same even when he joined the fight with weak damage — and secret bosses pay roughly 3–4 times more direct currency per kill than normal zone bosses. The hourly World Boss also includes currency among its rewards.

Yen income scales hard with the Leprechaun trait: the first equipped Leprechaun unit doubles your base multiplier, and each additional one doubles the running total — player-tested full teams have reached 480x–580x. The 2x Yen game pass doubles earnings on top of that.

Gems: green is free, red is paid

Gems come in two kinds. Green gems are the free currency and red gems are the paid one. In the shop, items in blue boxes are bought with gems while items in green boxes cost Robux — check the box color before buying. Green gems can buy game passes and other shop items, and documented prices include the Starter Pack at 990 gems (99 Robux), the 2x EXP pass at 2,990 gems (299 Robux), and Remote Access at about 7,990 gems (about 799 Robux), with an all-game-passes bundle listed around 32,000 gems. Prices can change with updates, but milestone and mail gems can genuinely be saved up to buy select game passes without spending Robux.

Where green gems come from:

  • Main quests pay 500 gems each. The recorded worlds were Sky Island and Demon Slayer, and Update 1 later added main quests to the JJK world too.
  • Daily quests offer 3 per day at about 30 gems each (about 90 per day), and Weekly quests offer 3 at about 225 each (about 675 per week). Side quests do not award gems — they give mounts and weapons instead. The quest menu sits on the bottom left with Main, Side, Daily, and Weekly tabs.
  • Level milestone claims in the Level menu pay about 100 gems every 10 levels up to level 100 — roughly 1,000 gems in total — alongside flat account damage bonuses.
  • The 7-day login track starts at 100 gems on day 1 and rises to 500 on day 7.
  • Staying online 8 hours in a day pays about 200 gems.
  • Time Chamber AFK milestones and developer reward mail top it up.

There is no code system in Anime Legacy Simulator — anything the developers give away arrives directly in your mailbox — so don't wait on codes to build a gem stack.

Food: the fighter-EXP material

Food is what you feed fighters to level them, and you cannot summon it directly from stars. It comes from dismantling unwanted fighters pulled from gacha banners, or from consumable food items such as Pirate Rations (included in the Starter Pack) and Rice Balls, which grant direct fighter EXP.

One setting decides whether your pulls become food or pocket change. The Star Settings at any summon star (gear icon) list four pull actions — Announcement, Auto Sell, Auto Lock, and Auto Deconstruct (shown as Auto-Delete on some menus). Auto Sell converts summoned fighters into Yen while Auto Deconstruct converts them into food, and selling only returns currency — so if you need food to level units, set Auto Deconstruct for every rarity you don't plan to keep. Settings are configured per rarity at the summon pad, or remotely with Remote Access.

Already sitting on a bag full of undeconstructed duplicates? Dismantle them manually in the backpack: use the dismantle icon next to the trash can icon, check the fighters to recycle, and confirm to turn them into food. Lock your high-tier, Shiny, or rare-trait units first so nothing valuable gets deleted by accident. The full feeding loop is in the fighter leveling guide.

Reroll and upgrade tokens

Everything past raw stats — passives, weapon enchants, artifacts, talents — has its own reroll material, and Dungeons and Trials supply almost all of them:

  • Trait shards pay for fighter trait rerolls at the Trait Reroll NPC near the lobby's main spawn. They come primarily from clearing Trial waves and Dungeon rooms and from secret chest chambers; Dungeon chest rooms drop bulk fragments of about 15–25 per chest. The roll setup is covered in the passive reroll guide.
  • Weapon Breathing Style rolls happen at the Slayer Village gourd station: the initial roll costs 10 tokens, and locking a rolled slot increases the token cost of subsequent rolls. Trials and Dungeons are the recommended supply route here too.
  • Artifact tokens are per-artifact: the Cursed Finger uses Cursed Tokens, the Golden Sky Bell uses Haki Tokens, the trials artifact and the demon artifact use Adventure Tokens, the easy dice-mode artifact uses red tokens, the map 3 secret-boss finger uses cat tokens, and the map 4 sword artifact uses Lion Tokens. Their documented sources follow the same pattern: Cursed Tokens drop from JJK map mobs and from Sukuna (10 at a 50% chance), while Lion Tokens drop from map 4 monsters, the Gokumon boss, and the map 4 secret boss.
  • Talent Tokens reroll a character's Damage, Ultimate, Move, and Speed stats. The hourly World Boss drops 500–1,000 at a 100% rate, each Dungeon or Trial run pays 10–20, and the dice mode also awards them alongside Lion Tokens.

For bulk farming, Dungeons and Trials open roughly every 30 minutes in alternating runs and are the primary bulk source of reroll and upgrade tokens. With drop buffs active, clearing Dungeon rooms 40–50 yields roughly 600–1,000 rerolls per run (chests hold roughly 7–23 items by tier, and mobs up to 4 with boosts), while reaching Trial wave 20 yields roughly 300–400 items per run. Secret bosses are worth the detour as well: they drop bundles of 10 progress tokens at a 50% chance, versus 7 tokens at a 35% chance from normal zone bosses.

Drop bonuses stack on top of all of it: the Drop Boost Potion adds +1 to +2 extra items per drop, and the drop bonus stat raises the quantity of tokens and items you receive rather than rerolling the chance.

Adventure points, resets, and AFK income

  • Adventure Upgrade points, earned from Dungeons and Trials, are spent at the Adventure Upgrade station opened from the globe icon. They raise account stats such as fighter damage, drop rate, player EXP, luck, gold, gacha luck, and range; Update 1 raised the station's level cap from 20 to 30 at a high coin cost. The adventure upgrades guide covers the station in detail.
  • Stat Reset Tokens come from attacking the treasure chests in the Dungeon's yellow treasure rooms, and reset your distributed stat points so misallocated points can be recovered.
  • Time Chamber AFK time earns free gems, trait shards, and haki spins, with an exclusive mount granting +60 movement speed at 14 cumulative hours — details in the AFK Time Chamber guide.
  • Potions round out the consumables: Egg Speed (faster hatching), Luck, Damage, and Drop boosts, plus rarity potions for Mystic, Secret, and Shiny pulls.

If you're just starting out, the beginner guide shows how the first hours of quests, summons, and feeding connect — the gems and food you earn early fund every upgrade listed here.
